Kranjska Gora is the main resort in the Julian Alps, the scene of World Cup alpine skiing. It provides reliable snow conditions and panoramic views of Triglav National Park. All resorts cater for both beginners and experts (including off-piste) and include artificial snow machines to guarantee maximum ski times.

Beyond skiing, the Julian Alps offer:

  • Lake Bohinj - Slovenia’s largest glacier lake
  • Lake Bled – a resort on the edge of the Park with casino and a 27 hole championship golf course
  • Bovec – home to the best kayaking in Europe

HOW TO GET THERE

The Julian Alps are approx 1-2 hours by car from Brnik airport, Ljubljana. Easy Jet offers regular flights from London Stansted and are expected to start flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle in December 2010. The national carrier Adria Airways also offers regular flights from most major European cities including Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Brussels, Paris, Barcelona, Dublin, Manchester, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Moscow and, Split and Prague.
